Tour log: a day on Lake Oconee with Austin Keen

Austin Keen returns to Georgia for a day of riding, foiling, and a demo with the Arc Sport.

The Electric Summer Tour was built around a simple idea: bring the Arc Sport to incredible lakes across the country and create unforgettable days on the water. New destinations, surprise moments, and thrilling rides. Lake Oconee marked another stop on that journey, and the beginning of what will be many stories to come as the EST continues across the country.

For Georgia native and Arc ambassador Austin Keen, Lake Oconee also offered an entirely new experience.

Long before titles, sponsors, and podiums, Austin was a Tybee Island kid growing up in the marshes along the coast, learning the rhythms of the water and building a life around boards and boats. Despite being back in his home state, he had never wakesurfed Lake Oconee, and this tour stop offered a golden opportunity to ride a different side of Georgia’s waters.

The morning started the way great lake days usually do: glassy water, warm air, and zero rush to be anywhere else. Austin met up with Arc Sales Advisor Jeff McKee and the duo cruised out early, dialing in a custom wake and trading stories between runs. The connection between the two had been a long time coming, as Jeff spent years as a professional wakeboarder before joining the Arc family.

Then came the foils.

The two swapped their boards for high-performance foils and spent the latter part of the morning flying silently behind the boat — a fitting combination for a day built around electric boating. The Arc Sport drove quietly and effortlessly while the riders hovered in and around the wake, creating a unique bond as they flowed through the water at the same time.

But the best part of the day came after lunch.

A family arrived for what they thought would be a normal demo. Instead, they found Austin Keen waiting at the dock, all smiles.

Within minutes, the Arc Sport was alive with questions, tips, and encouragement moving between the cockpit and swim platform. Austin worked with the mom on landing smoother 360s, gave the dad pointers on shuvits, and helped the family settle into the rhythm of the wake. Everyone got their turn behind the boat, including an unforgettable father-son tandem surf session.

Watching the family experience the Arc Sport alongside one of wakesurfing's most recognizable faces felt less like an event and more like a surprise summer memory unfolding in real time.

And that’s really what the Electric Summer Tour is about.

Yes, it’s a chance to drive the boat and surf the wake. But it’s also about showing people what these days can look like: relaxed mornings, spontaneous sessions, new lakes, old friends, and that little bit of magic that happens when you least expect it.

The Electric Summer Tour is making stops all across the country in 2026. Check out the schedule and come take a ride. Who knows, there might be a pro waiting on the dock, and maybe you’ll be featured in the next episode. We don’t call it “Electric” for nothing.
