Accelerating innovation with E1

Arc heads to Miami this week for the U.S. debut of the all-electric powerboat racing series E1. As the presenting partner of the E1 Miami GP’s “Hot Laps” experience, we’re excited to support the world’s most advanced electric competition on the water.

This weekend’s race at Miami Seaplane Base, the series finale, will decide the winner of the championship’s second season. To preview the race and share the thrill of electric propulsion, we’ll be taking fans on high-speed laps around the course on the Arc Sport.

“Like Arc, the E1 Series is pushing what’s possible in boat design and electric powertrain technology,” says Mitch Lee, Arc CEO and co-founder. “We share a vision for a better way to enjoy the water, without sacrificing speed.”

Teams owned by Tom Brady, Rafael Nadal, and Steve Aoki are among those vying for the championship in Miami. Pilots compete in an all-electric boat known as the RaceBird, a 24-foot-long aluminum hydrofoil that reaches over 55 mph.

The series is both an exhibition of marine transport's future and a testing lab for the technologies helping realize that vision. Fans can watch the qualifier on November 7 and the grand finale on November 8 on CBS Sports Network.
