Wakesurfing pro Austin Keen joins Arc

Nobody rides a wave like Austin Keen. A world champion and innovator, the Georgia native is known as one of the most creative riders in water sports. He’s spent his career pushing the limits, and that spirit is exactly why we’re excited to welcome him as Arc’s first athlete ambassador.

A style all his own

Austin grew up in Savannah, Georgia, skimboarding the tide pools and shorebreaks off Tybee Island. Videos of Laguna Beach legends riding Aliso Creek’s famous waves pulled him west as a teenager, chasing the chance to ride alongside the best. Soon after, he started competing in pro contests and was crowned world champion after an epic run spanning Mexico, Brazil, and beyond.

Curious as ever, Austin picked up wakesurfing — a natural extension of his style. A clip of him "hijacking" a boat wake on his skimboard caught fire online and landed him on SportsCenter. Since then, he’s continued to evolve, riding at the highest level while using his massive online following to teach and spread wake sports beyond their traditional roots.

Looking ahead

Austin’s focus on progress makes him a natural fit for the Arc Sport — an electric wake boat at the cutting edge of marine technology.

“Being on the forefront of innovation and doing new things has always been a driving factor for me,” he says. “I really see that with Arc. It’s clear they're doing something groundbreaking — and it doesn't hurt that the wave is super fun.”

We’re excited to collaborate with Austin on original content, product feedback, and live demos to bring the electric experience to more riders firsthand. “It’s the coolest experience I’ve had on a wake boat — and it’s only getting better,” he says. The boat will also feature in upcoming episodes of his Celebrity Surf Series, where he teaches athletes, musicians, and creators how to ride.
